he Polydroom: A Multitasker with Limits on Vastelint Zenith

On Vastelint Zenith you’re constantly tripping over strange gadgets that promise everything but rarely keep the sand out of your boots. The Polydroom claims to be the ultimate teaching tool for the modern stellar instructor. I had the chance to try this invention up close.

As a stellar instructor at the Zeef Symposium, fighting both sandstorms and dreamy students on a daily basis, I had the opportunity to test the Polydroom. According to its creators, this lanky device promises to solve every educational challenge on Zenith: a portable multi-tool for communication, class mobility, automatic grading and, allegedly, even symbol telepathy.

In reality, the Polydroom is a rather temperamental companion. Its automatic translation function sometimes renders my Servator students’ complex symbol language into charming poetry-which is amusing but unhelpful during an astrophysics test. Voice commands are decent, as long as you speak through a filter mask at half strength.

The device’s main strength is its adaptive dust resistance. During a typical lesson stroll through the sandy corridors of Megapool Silt, the Polydroom continued to work where my trusty holoprojector had already given up. However, promises of seamless schooldrone integration were unfulfilled: connections dropped frequently, and the device struggled with Zenith’s notorious bureaucratic wind interference, which never seems to rest here.

Visually, the Polydroom-with its semi-transparent shell and glittering mini screens-stands out in the rust-toned classroom, though it looks more like an accidental art installation than a rugged educational tool.

The Polydroom does what it’s supposed to, as long as you accept occasional glitches and don’t expect too much at once. On Vastelint Zenith that might be enough, but it falls short of sublime. For those satisfied with dust-proof teaching and the odd poetic exam result, the Polydroom just about meets expectations.

Nebula Drift, Crictonia Prime

Every time I hear the Polydroom being purchased, I wonder what dark dimension the users inhabit. This apathetic device resembles a shady art matrix more than an educational tool, and it can't even execute a simple translation correctly. The disappointment runs so deep that even my pseudopod has lost its will to twitch. How have we ever let it come to this?

What a triumph of technology the Polydroom is! I can't wait to step onto the festival stage and celebrate the glorious virtues of this device with my fiery tentacles!
